Strongbond Contact Adhesive for Carpentry


CT 300 is a solvent borne synthetic rubber based contact adhesive with good bonding strength, coverage and easy application.  It is more suitable for carpentries and as carpet adhesive.

Recommended uses:

CT-300 can be used for following substrates:

-     Decorative Laminate to Wood / MDF

-          Foam to Foam

-          Foam to Wood

-          Leather to Cloth

-          Leather to Metal

-          Furnishing Cloth to Wood/Hardboard.

-          Carpet to Concrete

-          Carpet to Wood

-          Formica to wood

Directions for use:

1.      Clean both the surfaces to be bonded;

2.      Surface should not be damp/wet;

3.      Surface should be free from dirt, grease etc.;

4.      Remove all old paint/adhesive in case of rework;

5.      If laminate/surface is too smooth or slippery they should be roughened;

6.      Apply a thin coat of CT-300 to both surfaces;

7.      In case of highly porous surface one more coat may be required;

8.      Allow to dry 5 - 15 mts. And put the surface together and apply sufficient pressure for uniform contact;

9.      Try to avoid shifting once positioned;

10.  Excessive adhesive from the edges can be removed by using reducer.

Packing

Caution:

-         Once positioned avoid shifting;

-         Excessive or uneven application may lead to poor bonding;

-         Contact of the two surface should be made after evaporation of solvent i.e., after tack development;

-         Fix the surface to be bonded within 10-15 minutes;

-         After fixing do not keep the component under direct heat.
